YOUR EVERYDAY NETWORK
A quick check before your commute
Use UKTransit.live to get your bearings on your regular route. Then confirm time-sensitive decisions with your operator: this map is an additional view of the network, rather than a guarantee that a vehicle will arrive at a particular time.
1. Find your area and service
Open the transport map, choose your area from the menu and select the relevant bus, rail, tram or metro layer. Search for a stop or station, or use the line and route controls to narrow the view. Zoom in if stops or route details are not yet visible.
2. Look at the route and the source status
Select your line or vehicle and check the displayed update information. A source-reported position comes from the available feed. An estimated position is calculated from service information; smooth animation between updates is not evidence of a new GPS fix.
3. Check the service you intend to board
Look at the relevant stop or station information where available. If an icon stops, disappears, or the feed is interrupted, check your operator before changing your journey. Live data can be delayed, incomplete or unavailable even while services are running.
London and Greater Manchester
For London disruption, accessibility and official journey planning, use TfL Journey Planner and TfL status updates. For Greater Manchester services and disruption, check the Bee Network / TfGM. For National Rail services, use National Rail and your train operator.
Keep your daily route handy
Bookmark the map in your browser. The map also offers favourites for returning to places and routes on the same browser. Do not rely on an icon alone to decide whether it is safe to cross a road or approach a vehicle.
